Sunflower Oil For The Skin

Benefits of using (pure, organic, cold-pressed) sunflower oil for your skin:

1) It is non-comedogenic (which basically means that it won’t clog your pores) and quick-absorbing. I think this is the first property that we’re all fishing for when trying to look for facial oils (or trying to avoid it, rather;)).

2) It is rich in antioxidants such as vitamin E that prevent skin damage and premature aging. It possesses other vitamins such as A, C and D as well.

3) It possesses some barrier-repair, anti-inflammatory and skin-soothing properties that can be universally beneficial for all skin types.

4) Due to its naturally high oleic acid content, sunflower oil aids in faster healing and repair of the skin. This is good news for us acne- and pigmentation-prone people.

You can use it independently as a facial oil or look for moisturizers that contain it. It is great for the under eyes, the body, the hair – you name it. Sunflower oil is that kind of very versatile, beautiful ingredient.
